The reskin of the media libraries component that you released last June has a few issues.
The automated metadata management is definitely a big step forward for people who don't manage their metadata themselves. However (as someone who curates their own (non tv recording) videos, it quite a big step backwards compared to the original videos.
The update has removed the ability to change the sort order which I miss as I would frequently switch from displaying movies in A-Z order to reverse date order.
Movies
I can now only scroll left and right to view all of my movies. Before, I could have all movies full the screen so I could scroll up & down also.
NPVR categorised the movies genres itself but with a high error rate (Terry Gilliams' dystopian film Brazil is listed under comedy, The Irishman under history...)
As a result, a movie frequently appears in multiple and often wrong genres, making far less easy to scroll through a movie collection that before.
Videos
I've added an Archive folder to videos
archive\comedy
archive\documentary
archive\drama
npvr has selected it's own posters for these folders which it then uses for all subsequent subfolders. I think that npvr should use existing folder/poster/filename.jpg/png files before going off to retrieve metadata. (I note that it does still load fanart.jpg as wallpaper).
When I've selected Drama, it lists the same shows under the headings of recent/all drama/comedy and drama.
I have a documentary folder that contains 4 videos and 7 subfolders. it only listed the 4 videos. when I moved them to a new subfolder called other, and then did an xxx refresh, all the subfolders appeared.
I could only seem to make xxx work in native, not in default web or uiclient.html. Is this correct?
When viewing folders, they are sorted by creation date when I think they should be in alphabetical order ("recent" should be last accessed date).
