WinTV PCI just for live TV?

I just finally upgraded to a WinTV PVR-150 MCE. I'd like to get the ability to record one show and watch another. I'd figured on buying at least another 150, but can the non-PVR WinTV cards function at all with GB-PVR? I probably should have tried it before I swapped the cards...

Answering my own question. I got my non-PVR WinTV PCI to work for live TV ("preview") with the SoftwareRecorder plugin. Works fine. GB-PVR thinks I have a second recorder though, so it'll let me schedule two recordings at once without warning me. I don't want to use a software encoder. It'd be nice if there was a way to flag that card as a "live tv / preview" only source.

I actually tried a non-PVR WinTV USB I had sitting around first but the audio never worked right.

i think with guide2j you can select which source you want to use for recordings, so you could try using that to schedule your recordings.
