Hey Erik I got the windows way to work so thats good. But here's my next stupid question of the day. How do I use MPEG-VCR??? I go in and I can load up the clip list so I see where it says show and commercial... Then how do I cut the commercials out and repackage?

Thanks,

Dubya

To check if a show part is a show or a commerical is a commercial you grab a clip and drop it on a empty canvas of MPEG-VCR. Now you can review the clip
To combine clips drop one clip on the canvas, move the the slider to the required insertion point for the next (or previous ) clip, e.g.to the end or the beginning and then drag and drop the next clip on the already open clip. This will start the join editor, a simple click on OK is sufficient.
Then you select the whole clip and hit the save button.
Don't be afraid to experiment.

The easy way:
Open the first clip. If it's a commercial, hit the mark in button.
Slide the slider to the actual beginning of the show.
Click the mark out button.
Click the trim button (scissors).
Grab the second video clip from the cliplist, drop it on the first.
Click OK in the popup box.
It will automatically append to the end of your first clip. You don't need to scan to the end, unless you changed the defaults.
Just do that with all the video clips, ignoring the commercial clips.
You may also have to scan through the last clip, to see if it cut at the end of the actual show, or continues through the commercial and credits.
You can never have enough tuners!
