Can't watch Live TV but can record?

Hi,

I am a total newbie and just installed and tried to record some shows, I have a problem.....

I can record shows and the files (mpeg) were recorded correctly and I am able to view them from "RECORDINGS"; but, for some odd reason, I can't view LIVE TV?? It said (No Capture-Source was available to enable you to watch the requested channel) (it's recording at the time....)
What does that mean??am I doing anything wrong?

Another note, I can't view the files from windows media player?? How come?

my pvr info:
PVR150 (not MCE)
XP pro

this may be a silly question, but the capture wasnt recording a show when you tried to use live tv, right?

Yes, you are right, I was recording at the time.....
I guess it doesn't allow user to watch while recording??
I thought it let's user do these two things at the same time?

You can watch while its recording, but you have to start playback of the in-progress recording through the 'recordings' screen.

If you've got multiple tuners, then you can be doing multiple recordings at the same time, or watching and recording different channels.

Oh, I get it.....

If I only have one tuner....
I can watch the same thing from what I was recording thru "Recordings" but, I can't record one show while go to "LIVE TV" with another show.....
