Hi out there,

with the new release by sub, it will soon be my first time to update gbpvr to a newer version. Is there any how-to available? Do I just install the new version right as it were the "from the scratch"-installation? Will it replace the old version as well as take over all settings (and the database, of course ;-)?

Greetings, Alex

the safest way to do is, is to kill all the gbpvr tasks, go into "task manager" and click "end process" on everything with gbpvr in its name (when a recording is not in progress of course). then you can backup up your entire "gbpvr" directory (just incase it stuffs up for some reason), then just run the installer (chances are you wont need the backup, but just to be safe).

After the upgrade, go through all of the items listed in the plugins tab, and check the settings for each. Some of the file directory get reset.
