Hi!
First, I want to thank reven for his great MyVideos plugin. I'm also using the daily demux feature, which is great.
However, I think I've found a bug when filenames contain some characters (e.g. French "éèà" and so on): the demux.ajb file that has been created does not reproduce them in such a way that cpvas can read the filename: I get the errore message "Unable to open input file".

Yet, if I open the demux.ajb file with the notepad, the filename is correct! However, if think I've found the problem: if I open the demux.ajb file with the notepad and save it as ANSI, then cpvas reads the filename properly.

Conclusion: I guess the demux.ajb file is created as a Unicode file while cpvas expects an ANSI file. Am I right? Is there anyway to easily change that in demux.exe?

Thanks.

errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, ummmmmmm, try playing around with a .ajb file and try using pva via the command line, see if you can get it to work with those funny characters. if you can get it to work no problems, im probably just saving the .ajb with an improper encoding scheme, and if you cant get it to work, i doubt i will be able to.

pva is annoying how it needs this .ajb file, i was trying to find a simple demuxer remuxer than worked like
>app.exe -demux inputfile.mpg output.mpv output.mpa
>app.exe -remux inputfile.mpg output.mpv output.mpa
but, i couldnt find any program that worked well, so i gave up and used pva.

Reven,

mpgtx.exe as used in comclean can demux
use the -d switch

mpgtx -d inputfile.mpg -b outputfile

It creates
outputfile-0.m2v
outputfile-0.mp2

Its rather quick.

i think there may have been a reason why i didnt use mpgtx, i cant remember what but im pretty sure there was a reason why.

anyway if anyone is having trouble with pva, just edit the convert.bat file and use mpgtx.exe instead.

The mpgtx.exe that you can find in the official sourceforce release does not work.....
That may be the reason why.
The only mpgtx.exe that works with hardware MPEG encoders on windows can be found inside a bugtrack report. Its that one that I used for comclean.

Hi Erik....

I have som problems with danish-chars in the demux.ajb. Can you tell me how the convert.bat will look like, if I use the mpgtx.exe from Comclean?
I will have to edit the burn.bat because of the new extentions .m2v and .mp2 ?
