Failed to initialize Infrared Remote Hardware

Ok - I'm running 9211 on win xp pro with pvr350

I've installed the latest drivers from shspvr (v. 1.18.21.22301) and this has improved the lockups I'm getting...

However I'm now getting:

Failed to initialize Infrared Remote Hardware

When IR.exe starts

Can anyone give me any pointers?

have you installed the latest version of the infrared software, too (it does not come with the driver...)?

No I hadn't realised that so:

just grabbed that
Ran hcwclear (uninstalled everything)
Rebooted
Reinstalled the shspvr drivers
Installed ir32_2.45.223 50.exe
And got the same "Failed to initialize Infrared Remote Hardware"

OK - I think I've moved on a little

I'll get this in before anyone else: RTFM :o

I thought I'd post what I did in case anyone else is as dumb as me!:

Anyway, I removed all PVR350 stuff following the instructions at the bottom of http://www.shspvr.com/pvr2_drv-apps.html (actually reading the instructions may of saved me several hours of installs/reboots)

and then reinstalled using http://www.shspvr.com/howto/wxp_install.html

I used the drivers from ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/download/wintv-pvr_...01_inf.zip

And then installed all the apps from ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/download/wintv-pvr_...01_pp2.zip

I just hope my lockups are cured, otherwise I think the graphics card TV out is the only solution - Or convince the the wife to let me get a 150!

Well, I'm still getting the lockups - I think Sub is along the right lines with not wasting anymore time on the 350 TV out - No matter what I try I still get the problems....

So, I have spent the last few hours messing with my TV out on my mx440 - I was initially disapointed with the quality, but after messing with loads of settings (and then reverting to the defaults!) after I replaced a dodgy coax cable and added an RF booster the quality is barely distinguishable from "real" TV - no glitches or lockups!

Sub, this really is an excellent piece of software - tnx - I'll donate when I get paid in a couple of weeks.
