Support for CN400

Hi I'm using an VIA EPIA SP13000 motherboard,
it has a MPEG2 HW decoder and a MPEG4 HW accelerator.

Is there any plans for supporting this feature of the CN400 chipset from via?

This would require VIA to supply directshow filters (drivers) for these hardware features. When they do, I'll add support. Unfortunately, going by their past support of their hardware, this probably wont be anytime soon.

I'm fairly sure you can already use the MPEG2 hardware acceleration features, but you have to configure GB-PVR to use a software decoder that is capable of utilising these hardware features. The Cyberlink video decoder from PowerDVD 5 (or higher) could certainly use the MPEG2 hardware acceleration on their previous EPIA boards (M10000 etc), and I can only assume it is the same for the CN400 boards. MPEG4 is a different matter, as I've heard of no existing way of utilising this under Windows - hopefully they'll release directshow components for this in the near future.
