hallo! Smile

sorry for my dumb questions...
i managed to install gb-pvr with a hauppauge pvr 500 (had to modify the direct.ini because the pin names where 'wrong')

i configured both interfaces (#1 and #2 from the pvr 500) and i can watch tv after all.
question part: how can i watch tv on the second tuner (picture in picture?)

is there a manual somewhere?

and is it possible to get rid of the EPG stuff? within the configuration is pretty bugging me ton configure it, but there is no real epg source for switzerland/cable-tv.

thanks :o

There is no picture in picture feature in GB-PVR. You will be able to record and watch a different channel at the same time though.

No, I dont like writing documents. You can find some information here: http://www.gbpvr.com/pmwiki/

If you dont have an EPG source, then this is probably no the application for you. Sorry, but its really designed around TV listings, and sucks without them.

dammit! its so close Cool
i now tested like every tv tuner software around and they are all between 'unusable' and 'weird'.

where the hell did the simple life go...

if anyone knows a simple straight-forward tv tuner softare (like MoreTV was): tell me (i tested those ones: http://www.pvrstat.de/14789.html)

thanks Smile

use xmltv ( tv_grab_de_tvtoday). as the name implies, it grabs the tv listings from http://www.tvtoday.de (includes tv listings for SF1 and SF2, ORF1 + 2, etc.).

you won't find epg sources for TSR, TSI and regional or small swiss-channels like starTV or U1 etc.
AMD 1600mHz, 512 M RAM, 20+160 GB drive, Hauppauge PVR-350 + PVR-150 + PVR-150MCE, Win XP Pro SP3, using software decoding.

well i tried that already. no xmltv run did complete for my channel settings... and well i dont care about epg. i dont use epg so for me its boring to configure that 'freaktool' (no critics, just not very fool proof)

well well well. watching tv can be so complicated...
