Quality Settings with Manual Recordings

I have tried to schedule manual recordings with a High Quality setting, instead of the default Medium Quality, however always the actual recording is done with the Medium Quality setting properties.

Has this happened to anybody else too?

What I am actually trying to achieve is to record with a higher bit rate the the bit rate of the Medium Quality setting, however it appears that the recorded file always comes out with the properties of the Medium Quality setting.

I would greatly appreciate any kind of help in this problem.

You can edit the settings for the "Medium", and make them whatever you want, otherwise I haven't ever had this problem.

I'm latching onto this thread because I'm having a similar problem with quality settings. No matter what settings I give Medium, video's are always different.

For example, Medium is set to 480x480, 2000kbps (audio: 320kbps), yet I get video that is the wrong resolution (720x480), wrong bitrate (5250kbps VBR average), and wrong bitrate for audio (224kbps).

Since the recording service restarts every time you change the settings (I have many many times), I don't think that's an issue. I've open and closed the main GBPVR app several times, so that's a non-issue. The other presets that I've modified appear to work just fine. I also changed the Live TV preset to match the Medium Quality, just incase, and scheduled and manual recordings are just stuck when using Medium.

I'm not blaming GBPVR, but I have no answers. Anyone?

Its been discussed several times recently, there is a bug in the current release when you try to edit the 'medium' settings. This fixed in the next release.
