Wake up PC for scheduled recordings?

Hi I'm a newbie with GBPVR. Most of it works fine for me, but I have not already found out how to schedule recordings which wake up my PC from standby mode. It works with the Hauppauge scheduler, but of course I want to use EPG and the remote control to schedule the recordings instead of keyboard and mouse.

Has anyone an idea? Thanks in advance.

It works out of the box, well it does for me. I just set the pc to hibernate after 15 mins of inactivity and any scheduled recordings are performed as expected the pc wakes up 2 mins before a recording takes place.

Hmm, does GBPVR insert the recordings into the Windows scheduler in your system? In mine it does not. I am working with Windows 2000 - might that make a difference? I do not hibernate the system (but I will try it) I just go into standby mode.

GBPVR does not add to the windows scheduler, well not in an obvious way. One thing to look at is there any setting in your bios for allowing the machine to wake up to do jobs?

And does the windows scheduler work for waking your machine to run tasks?

Cheers,
Colin.

Hi Herbs, Colin,
I have reconfigured my PC based on your suggestions, reinstalled the software and changed from standby to hibernation mode - now it works. Smile

Thx for your support,
Michael
