I've just tried creating a DVD from MyVideos for the first time, I had installed everything before I just had to setup the paths in convert.bat and dvdburn.bat.

I added four files to the DVD and then clicked burn.

PVAStrumento seemed to do its thing OK with DOS windows popping up etc. and MyDVD moved on to step 2 'DVDAuthor in Process' I left this running for about 40 minutes then went upstairs to check if the machine was doing anything - it didn't appear to be so I cancelled it.

I had a look in my temporary directory I'm using for DVD burning and there is a temp.xml file with the following contents:

Code:
<dvdauthor>
    <vmgm />
    <titleset>
        <titles />
    </titleset>
</dvdauthor>

I've tried a couple of times since, all the paths are correct in the bat files, but it still stalls at step 2. I also tried running it with Task Manager on top and mplex.exe never appeared in the processes.

Looking at the threads from when reven was first looking at adding this functionality to MyVideos (http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...stcount=30) I can't see that it would take over 40 minutes (however my machine is slower than the one reven was testing on).
I also hoped there would be an example batch file for doing this outside of GBPVR in that thread but i couldn't find one.

I also tried running the convert.bat file with the arguments as covered in the readme file that comes with MyVideos but that didn't do anything.

Does anyone have any ideas what is going wrong?

I'm going to set it going again before I go to bed, see if it does anything over night.

Thanks in advance,

-D

convert some videos first, just run them thru pva via dos (or you can use the my videos demuxing tool on the wiki, which uses pva and conversion.bat) and once thats done create a new dvd in "my dvd" but set convert to false (since they're already demuxed) and try and burn the dvd then (this will tell you if its a problem with step one thats been carried forward).

Ok, if I goto PVAStrumento.exe GUI to generate the .PVA it starts and says 'pre-scanning input, takes some time' then it just disappears.

No files are created by this, I tried demuxing from the GUI and this does the same thing.

The dos windows when doing it from MyVideos show the 'pre-scanning input...' text but they disappear soon after.

It looks as though PVAStrumento could be my problem, what do you think?

Ahhh, I tried on a different video (one that I hadn't edited with videoReDo) and that worked. Any ideas what videoReDo is doing to the file, I thought it just copied the frames as is without re-encoding your video.

Hey Defusion, if you figure all this out, would you do me a post and tell me how you did it. I use video redo as well, and I love the feature that reven has, but i can't use it when i use videoredo. I've checked in with the videoredo folks and they claim that it's not their bad. So if you figure out something let me know!

I just need a tool to remux the file then I think I'll have it sorted, so if anyone knows of something for this then that would be great.

I'll post my results when I've finished (if it works).
