Required Registry Entry Missing

I have downloaded and installed GB-PVR twice. It crashes on the config program.

To make a long story short, I went to the service in Services and it will not start the service. It says:

Configuration Manager: A required entry in the registry is missing or an attempt to write to the registry failed.

I tried a repair and it said: encountered an error.

The file was 5.8MB. I don't know if that is correct.

I made sure no firewall or anti-spyware was running or anything that would interfere with registry entries.

Now everytime I try an install it I get a "Fatal Error." I have no log that I can find.

Any help is appreciated.

Brainstorming here, cause I'm not in any way sure. Are you logged in as an administrator (that said, I don't even know if you have to be) when you install and run? Do you have .net installed? (You probably do, because I think you get an error message way earlier in the install procedure if you don't).
