Seen It: How does this factor into CDK for no dupes? I have a few shows recently I have marked seen, but other airings get added. This is bevahoior is like what I'd like it "skip this" function, but how do you tell CDK you don't want an episode recorded (from the remote, prefarably)

Adjust Times in Adv Record: How do these work? I was going to use them to keep my scheduled recordings after a game (adding 13min to the time), but I wasn't sure if I needed to add it to the start, end or both.

Seen it - I believe the cdk uses the same database to purge.

Adjust times- probably just have to add it to the start. This is the time range that cdk uses to schedule shows (if they fall into the range)

I thought it did, but there's a few shows I'm telling it over and over not to get. There's only one that stands out, so I'll just ignore that oddity for now and see if it works for everything else.

I thought it was the reverse, since you could adjust start w/ padding.

If this isn't the case, some kind of start delay would be cool...for when a show starts late due to a game or news event. This would really only work well if you could have the Adv schedule functions under the Edit for pending recordings. Ortherwise, there's still no way to adjust the time of pending recordings.

btw, just for the record, I don't pair these because I think they're joined plugins/utils...they just converge here, and I don't always feel the need for two posts. I also don't always know where one starts and the other ends always.

There are two types of time adjustment in CDK Scheduler, padding and start/endtime adjustment.

Padding works just like in GBPVR it'll add pre-padding and post padding to to the real time that the show will start. Adjusting Start Time/End Time will actually have CDK Scheduler try to change the start time/end time of the recording itself. It is primarily used for when a show ends at 10:01 and another show starts at 10:00. An Example, the History Channel had been running "Band Of Brothers" on Sunday's at 10PM, however ABC typically has "Desperate Houswives" running until 10:01PM. By Setting the Adjust Start Time to 3 minutes, for Band of Brothers, it will start Recording at 10:01 PM (it uses that 3 minutes as it's window to determine the start time).

If you want to just add time to an recording, I'd use the Padding method, unless you want to actually change the end time, the adjust the end time.

As for the "Seen It". If you set a show up to not record duplicates or schedule duplicates, it relies on the RecTracker.mdb to determine if the show should be scheduled or not. CDK Scheduler will not delete duplicates, it only tries not to schedule those duplicates (i.e. record adds them to the scheduler, schedule determines if they have already previously been scheduled by CDK (i.e. it is pending)). It calls the same methods that RecTracker standalone uses for determining duplicates.

If you are still having problems with duplicates, a couple of items will help in tracking it down. Post copies of the recordings.log and your priorityrecordings.xml, and let us know which of the recordings you are having dups problems.

Thx. That makes sense to me.

I think the recording that kept rescheduling was set to True for dupes. I know I set it to False, but this is part of a weird glitch I hit once in a while. If I set True/False under More, it can be one thing, but if I set it under Power, it can sometimes switch it to the other.

I think this is how it got it mixed up.
