I am having a wierd issues that I've seen alluded to in some posts, but never diagnosed (that I could find). I got an MVP this weekend and was having connection issues without the Hauppauge software installed. I have a DHCP server, and the MVP was acquiring an IP address (from DHCP logs). I installed the Hauppauge software and everything worked. I disabled the Hauppauge services, added the MVP Server shortcut to my startup and rebooted. Everything seemed to come up fine but I noticed that "My Music" was missing and I was unable to browse to network directories through "Video Library". I noticed two GBPVR.EXEs running, so I chose to "Stop PVR Recording Service" from GBPVR Start Menu. All of a sudden My Music showed up as did my ability to browse networks. I rebooted and the same thing happened over again. Is there something I should be doing differently? Does anyone else experience this?

Are you using the "Number of servers to autostart" setting on the Playback tab in the Config app?

If so, you won't need to add the MVP Server shortcut to the startup folder, as the "recording service" will restart the MVP session of GBPVR.exe as needed.

My MVP works great and I never loaded the Hauppauge software. No need to load that, GBPVR has everything you need!
