I'm running 95.16 and it seems that since this version (could be a coincidence) all new recordings have a static like popping sound that varies throughout the recording. I am fairly positive is is happening on recording, not on playback. I hear it locally, or via MVP or even via ORB. I hear it when doing Live TV locally, even if I unplug the sound cable from my cable box, so it is not coming down with the show.

I do not hear it when using WinTV2000 for live or recorded TV.

Would any codecs come in to play when recording? I though that GBPVR just records the mpeg stream that the card captures/creates.
3x MVPs (not used anymore)
XBMC
Hauppauge 150 via SVideo
Comcast Digital Cable
Motorola HD Cable box channel changed via Firewire
Vista Home Premium with RDP hack
AMD Athalon 64 5000+
340gig sata, plus 80SATA+3x160IDE Drives in XP machine for storage.

Yes thats correct. Nothing has changed with the analog recording in quite a long while, so I'd guess you must have changed something on your setup that has caused this.

I was afraid you would say that. the odd thing is that it works OK in WinTV2000.
