Ok, i'll start:

1. Is it possible to integrate a panel for the mainmenu? Like your CurrenTrack-Window
2. Transparency! Very important, otherwise it won't really harmonate with my skin!
3. Some CD's have Video-Tracks (.mpg, .mov, .avi) how about to play these? While playing MusicVideos like these from AudioCD's the place from the Filelist could be used as Window.
4. Sub integrated the Visualisation from WMP10. Can you use this function within your plugin too? Even two modes: Mode1 like my idea with the Video, Mode2 fullscreen.
5. How about an edit-function of Titel, Artist etc.?
6. A "one-click" CD-Rip Button for archievment (i know that nearly all programs could do this, but GB-PVR is a mediacentre. It should be so easy to use as possible).

I think for more things... (i am working still for my adaption of my skin; resizing of Textfields inclusive).

PS: 10 Minutes are over; is the transparency effect already integrated? *g* *runaway*

1. yes. a panel would be possible. i must ask sub, how about processing keystrokes on the main menu....
2. quite easy
3. hmmm....this is just a cdplayer. if you place a data-cd in the drive it will display a 72 minute track, just like a hardware-player. i could try to look in the filesystem. when it finds videos, it will display them. gbpvr will then play those videos in fullscreen, no window-option. i don't think, this is a good idea for a cdplayer.
4. visualisations will only work, if gbpvr plays the files. since i don't use gbpvr to play back audio cd's, you'll have to forget about that ;-) but i'll ask sub...
5. too much for a mediacentre. you can already do this by hand: just open the cdplayer.mdb, open the "cd" - table, look for the cd you want to change, remember the diskid, compare it to the id's in "track" - table and edit the whole thing. maybe in a far away future i implement something like this.
6. ripping would be cool. just press a button and the thing starts ripping the files into a predefined directory. good idea!

number 1, 2 and 6 will definetively come, the video-thing i have to think over (you could add your cd-drive to myvideos, for example), visualisations and editing are off for the moment. thanks for the suggestions!

i've uploaded a new version (v0.6.1).

- control the plugin from the main menu (music doesn't stop when leaving the plugin)
- a few bugfixes
- more skin-support (no changes to the skin-file, but you can now skin the plugin while gbpvr is running).

download it from the wiki!

Hm, you couldn't fix the problem with the database. I'll explain:

I started GB-PVR in Debug-Mode and wen direct to your CD Player Plugin (Case of DVD-Player was open)
I inserted an Audio CD (Celine Dion) and closed the try with your closebutton -> no problems.
The tracklist was succesfully read and display within the Tracklist and the current Tracklist Windows. I played a little bit and opened the tray within your plugin. Now i closed it again: The Tracklist only displayed stuff like this: "Track 1, Track 2, Track 3" while in the current Track Window all is good.
The CD will never displayed again correctly. Why this?

Btw., i found out something interesting. What makes your plugin, if the last track of a CD was played? Here it jumps to different times in the Current Windows..., don't know how to describe this. It's a funny looking, like the stopping in your plugin has a small bug.

Can i stop the CD-Playing within the main menu? Or do i have to go back to your plugin for stopping the CD?

If you do implement this, would it be possible to allow for a choice of encoder? It's just that I encode mp3s only with lame with either the -standard or -extreme preset settings, so I would obviously like to be able to use it with this plugin as well!

cheers,

tieke.

ps - I have now officially removed the CD/DVD player from under my TV now that GB-PVR can finally replace it - thanks dottore.
