new plugin: CDPlayer

i have a little problem with the common gbpvr utilities i use: how can i supply the package with the installation without overwriting something on the target system? is this an installer thing?

That's right - there were basically no plugins available for people who wanted to simply play a CD with GB-PVR on their media PC - there is no ripping or transcoding with this plugin, so doesn't work with MVP. It does do CD info lookups though and means I can finally get rid of the CD player I currently have on top of my GB-PVR box!

Hm, works good :-D But with some CD's i have Problems: I have a CD from "Die Ärzte - Planet Punk". The first 13/14 Titles i can play, but after them (also all following Titles) i can't play! The start @ Zero and stutters from 00:00 to 00:01 and back again.

What could that be? The CD is in perfect condition and under WMP there are no problems. The List was trasferred online from the freedb.org.

Furthermore i miss one Button: There is a Button for ejecting CD's (works only, if a CD is inserted in my Plextor PX-130A), but where is the close button for the cd-try?

The Text-Wrapping too, it's not everytime so nice if the title is to long. Can i tweak it somewhere? I mean the titleinfobox under the tracklist while playing of a cd.

the title-length can be done in the skin.xml file. your problems with the cd are strange.....i'll add more logging to the plugin and send you a version, so you can reproduce the error and send me the log-file. this will be tomorrow.

the close button will be added in the next version, it's on my todo.

by the way: are you from germany? would be interested in a few german testers, since i am from germany too

Yeah, i am from germany, thus my english is so bad =p But if i would write in german, nobody else would understand me.

Hm, have you something more changed, then adding a logging? Now the same CD plays without problems... :confused:
