Bought this card and was horrified to learn that it might not be supported by GBPVR. Inspection of various fora showed me that I would have to delve into the bda.ini file. This is what I added for the digital input only:

[KWORLD DVB-T 220 PCI PHILIPS SILICON TUNER]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=713x BDA DVBT Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=713x BDA Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

The KWorld drivers are flaky, as other posts have indicated; also, their customer service is not up to much - despite a UK office, I was routed through to Taiwan. Not sure which is the most up to date driver version, but I'm using the Philips provided v1.3.2.6. Kworld did tell me that the website download is not up to date and I'm waiting with baited breath for a CD to be posted to me.

The only thing I couldn't get to work was the Mux. I had to load the HyperMedia application from KWorld to get the Cyberlink Mux - where will GBPVR find it if I delete the rest of the application? Also, where can I find alternative Mux filters?

Quality looks reasonable (I think I'm getting some electrical noise - it looks like telly when you're too drunk to concentrate!), CPU usage is a miserly 5% (Athlon 2800+, 1GB PC2100) although recording, playing back AND authoring on another machine using Nero Vision Express all at the same time soon makes the CPU work!

Like all digital TV, a decent aerial and downfeed is required and any physical disturbance causes hideous drop-outs.

If you leave the mux on disc, and still registered, then GB-PVR will find it. Run MuxChecker to see what muxes GB-PVR can see.

The best version of the Cyberlink mux I've come across is 5.0.1307: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=7...stcount=73

Hey, have you managed to (or even tried to) get the Analog part of this card to work with GBPVR?
I don't get a decent digital signal where I am right now but I can get analog using the Hypermedia bundled software. Can I get GBPVR to use that instead, had a look at the ini's and all the pins etc in graph edit, but I'm not entirely sure where to put all the info i have and into which ini...

any help appreciatedSmile

Chris.

There is no built in support for the analog side of this device. You might be able to get it to work with the plugin from http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=2753
