Error message when trying to schedule recordings

"Unable to schedule recording. No capture source available."

This is what happens when I try to schedule recordings that overlap. Obviously it's erroring out because of the overlap, but I would expect something more intuitive rather than just erroring out? Maybe, maybe not?

I'm surprised this hasn't come up before (I searched).

It doesnt crash, its just pops up a message to tell you that no tuners were available to schedule the recording. What would you prefer it to do? Or should I just change the wording of the message displayed to the user?

It goes back to the main menu with that message. I think (note I say I think because I don't personally own one) but I think Tivo does something like say "programming conflict" and offers you choices on what you want to do. I'm not sure offhand what those choices are, so I guess that's kind of what I meant Sorry for being kinda vague. I hope you see what I was getting at.

Oh and also how does one get back to live tv when recording? I mean say I want to watch what I'm recording. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to do this. I hit live tv and it gave the same error as I posted before. I tried hitting "play" where the program I wanted to watch was recording, after it got to real-time, it just dumped back to the menu instead of being smart enough to keep watching it as live.

Oh, I remember what Tivo does when it has a programming conflict now. When that happens it offers to record one of the shows at a later time, if that show is going to be on again. For example, if a show is on at 9PM and then that same show is run again at 2AM, and you wanted to record something else at 9:30PM, it would give you the option of bumping the other show to the 2AM recording that way you could still get both shows you wanted to watch. There, that makes a lot more sense than what I posted earlier

I'm not sure if this is doable but it would sure make life a lot easier.
