Can I use GB-PVR with this card on analog, it has a hardware decoder, tried software recorder and wont work.

Hi Ted

The 300i does work with GBPVR for DVB transmisson, I used to have one. In the capture source, select 'BDA Recording Plugin', then settings Device Type select 'Pinnacle Mediacenter 300i PAL - don't know it this works with NTSC.

Note this only works for DVB tranmissons, not Analouge transmissons - I belive this is because it does not have a hardware MPEG encoder.

cheer for the info sean, im pulling my hair out over this....looks like I wil have to invest in a hauppauge 150 PVR, looking at the forums, seems to be the most popular analogue card...thing is, we are still analogue in our area and not sure when we are going digital...it was the same when NICAM was the buzz word..we had to wait 7 years after it came out...lol
