Hello, I'm a new GBPVR user, in fact, today I built my PVR around the software and a Hauppage USB PVR2. I am not upgrading from a earlier version and my system is running XP with SP2 and all updates as of this date.

My problem is that I have ripped my DVDs to my hard drive as VIDEO_TS folder and am using GBPVR's video library feature to play them back. I can successfully "open" any DVD, navigate the DVD menu and play it. Once.

When I attempt to play a second DVD (or even the same title over again.) The DVD's menu is un-responsive. However, if I quit and reopen GBPVR I am able to play a title again.

What DVD decoder navigator and decoders are you using?

I've tried the built in one (which is WMP-based, I think?)

Also, CyberLink DVD (came with my computer, version 6) and to test further if that was the problem I tried the trial version of WinDVD. Same issue.

Some more info that may or may not be useful: I'm using the remote that came with my Hauppage package. I've tried disabling the IR applet that comes with the WinTV and checking the box to allow GB PVR to use the IR directly. I also note that when the second DVD is tried, I can't navigate it's menu with the keyboard arrow key either.

AH-HA! I figured this out. This *might* be a bug in GB-PVR.

If I select a DVD to play and then, while it is playing, press Menu on my Remote to go select another DVD or do another fuction the current DVD selection is playing in a little "preview" window down in the lower left. When I try another DVD, the menu navigation will not work as described.

HOWEVER, if I select a DVD and while it is playing I press STOP on the remote, it brings me to the main menu (no small preview window.) I can then select any other DVD and the menu within it works fine.

I've noticed similar behavior with things in the Video Library that use WMP to play, it seems that "Menu" and selecting something else doesn't stop or fully stop the previous selection from playing/staying open in the background.

I was aware of this bug with video library, and had corrected it for next build. I've now also fixed this for DVD playback.

Its already fine for live tv.

Thanks! I look forward to the next release. I'm really starting to enjoy this software and the features, I already wish I spent more for a tuner card (or two!) But that's for another forum. Big Grin
