How to connect HTPC to UK TV with scart

So would I need to touch this switch during normal HTPC usage? ie recording and watching via the DVB-T tuner card and watching DVDs?

I've seen these "auto sensing" SCART adapters would this be better?

Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make a system that is as easy to use as possible.

No, if its connected to the TV youd want it set to 'input'. if you were connecting the adapter to a VCR out to record from VHS you would switch it to 'ouput'

I had an autosensing a/v switcher (3 a/v in in to 1 scart out) and it switches when it gets a new signal, which was quite annoying, especially if i switched on the DVD player to get a disk out without wanting to watch a DVD i would have to manually switch it back to my htpc. Plus it was expensive (about £50)
