Hi All, As I said earlier, there's nothing worse than a Documenter that doesn't know what he's talking about! So I need your help regarding Source Channel Mapping in the Capture Sources...

Basically I'm looking for proof-reading and clarity-checking for the first section at least (until the first Line)

I may have missed the entire point altogether...

But if I'm on the right track, I'll continue...

Comments?

I had problems using the tuning assistant at the time. As I only subscribe to some 30 channels, I decided to type the frequencies directly from the table published by the cable company into the GBPVR configuration tool. This has worked fine for me.
If you want I can post a screen dump.

Thanks but that's OK. I actually am not having a problem with my system. I'm just trying to wrap my head around the stuff, so I can write about it correctly in the wiki.

After tinkering, I think I have it so that I at least understand it, but I don't have real world experience in this, and for all I know, I could be way off...

But I think I'm done with the page. So I'll just wait for folks to complain, and then I'll revisit it...

My suggestion was just meant as an alternative for those who did not want to go through tuning assistant, or hacking in the registry files.

Anyhow thanks for the great effort you are putting in this update of the documentation. It helped me with some 'obscure' features

I am using this direct-input-of-frequencies method now too (in the Netherlands). I did use the reg. hack before, but just typing in the frequecies once is easier Smile and I didn't have to muck about with strange channel mappings... (I guess my xmltv file is in the wrong order, but I don't understand how that works either Smile )

Sorry for not having looked into this thread for a while. The screenshot has been posted in another thread (http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=5) in the meantime
