I'm sure there is a simple answer for this, but I've searched the forums and can't find it. What are the GBP keyboard commands for Vol up, Vol down, and Mute.

vol up = +
vol down = - mute is (AFAK) not implemented in GBPVR... in case of the hauppauge remote, it is handled by the ir.exe. btw: vol up does not work on my machine... probably to the swiss german keyboard layout or something. if i press vol up on my remote, i see "1" displayed over live tv (as if i pressed 1). but the compy is hooked up to a surround decoder, where i control the volume
AMD 1600mHz, 512 M RAM, 20+160 GB drive, Hauppauge PVR-350 + PVR-150 + PVR-150MCE, Win XP Pro SP3, using software decoding.

Plus and minus on my keyboard does nothing. Any other ideas?

F8 = Mute
F9 = Vol Down F10 = Vol Up Let us know if it works. GBPVR is acting weird.

I've tried them all and when watching a TV Recording and using a keyboard in front of me, none of them works. Not + or - or F8,9,10.
Is there a list of keyboard commands for when in the recordings player or watching live TV? Pause, etc? I shell out to play DVD's in PowerDVD and the keyboard commands work there, so I know it is not my PC. Just out of curriosity, I'd like to shell out to play recorded TV programs, and movies ripped to Nero MP4. Is this possible? Great program. I'm just tweaking away. sub Wrote:I dont know where you got those. Its +/- and no mute as described by betlit above. Music Library doesn't allow me to adjust the volume. The volume does work when watching LiveTV and recorded shows. From what I gather reading some of the other threads, it could be the <UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio> line in config.xml, I'm not sure. The default is set to true and those F8, F9, F10 keys happen to be the shortcuts for controlling the volume in Windows Media Player 10. Maybe it's the way I have my computer set up. I run through the setup process, configure the PVR150s, set the IR to USB-UIRT and learn the codes from a Sony remote. That is all thats been done with GBPVR. I'm not running any plug-ins. I'll go ahead and mention the timing issue. I'm now using version 2.0.43.24073 of the driver. Seem to be getting better, but I did get 2 more recordings with bad timestamps in the last 2 days. One of it happen while I was in timeshift mode. Maybe it's the hardware I'm using. It's an Asus P4PE2-X with a Celeron 2Ghz processor, 512 memory and a ATI Radeon card. Driver Link: http://www.shspvr.com/smf/index.php?topic=9707.0 EDIT Here's the order I install the programs after a format. 1. Windows Update 2. .NET Framework 1.1 Redistributable. 3. .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 4. ATI Video Driver 5. Sound Driver 6. USB-UIRT Driver 7. PVR150 Driver 8. WinDVD 7.0 9. Windows Media Player 10 10. GBPVR 96.12

I did read over that thread. I believe that was the version I was using before switching over to 2.0.43.24073 and yes I did make the registry entries and rebooted the computer. Before updating to the current version, I cleared out those 2 entries. I wonder if I should have left them in there. Anyhow, I'll leave the current version in for a week and count the number of errors I get. Then I'll switch over to the version you posted and see if it makes any difference. Appreciate the help, thank you. |
