Hello,

How can I tune Channels on a pvr 250, I live in the Netherlands. I got the epg working. But when switch to live tv I get a tv window but no picture just noise and then when I want to go back to the main menu the program hangs.
I don't see a place where I can fill in frequencies for the different channels.
Wintv works fine and I used freqcopy but still no luck.
Can somebody plaese help me.

TIA,
Smokie

try another software (e.g. gottvpvr, not winTV!!!Wink, tune the channels with this software and note the channel numbers. edit the channel-list in gbpvr and fill it with the noted channel-numbers. this worked fine for me.

Thank you for your suggestion, dottore!

Unfortunaly it did not work. As I understand the dutch cable tv providers do not use the exact frequenties belonging to a channel number. I also saw this on the forum:

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]I learned that GB-PVR uses a set of predefined tables to show live TV. But i live in the netherlands and the frequencies differ from the west-european standards. I also learned that you can manually enter them in the registery. But can someone tell me where and how?

Thanks in advance

I'm trying write a tool for the next release to help users tune in their channels, but in the mean time you can look around for information on frequency override registry settings. This has been discussed several times in the past, and to my knowledge most people got it working fine in the end.

Thank you very much sub. Your program seems great!

I googled "frequency override registry"

And found this:

MS on frequency overrides

So far I got 1 channel working but I got the hang of it. I do not have to much time for this project right now (I'm getting married tomorrow) but I would like to make a .reg file for other people living in Amsterdam having the same problem.

thanks again,
smokie

Thanks sub, it was a great day!

I made the . reg file. So if anybody is interested let me know. Of course it will only work for people living in Amsterdam and have UPC cable subscription.
