Plextor Convertx Audio Bitrate

Is there any way to directly set the audio bitrate when using the Plextor Convertx when capturing divx? It is currently using 224kbps and I would like to use something like 64kbps for very portable recordings.

Great job by the way! This is already a very nice package and a great alternative to the commercial offerings out there.

At this stage I havn't found a way to change the bitrate of the mp3 encoding stage. Hopefully some time soon you'll be able to do this.

Is there anything I can do to help on this front? Contact Plextor or Intervideo perhaps? I assume you are relying on WinDVD Creator's audio encoding to Mpeg-1 Layer 2, like the Plextor GoCap software?

there's where you will find the list of recording profiles that appear in the drop-down menus when you are selecting your recording format.

if you open your desired .ipf file with a text editor like notepad, and change the settings(dwBitRate, dwSamplingFreq), and save it, you will be able to change the audio and video bitrates.
that's how i changed my DivX settings to 44100 and 128bitrate for smaller files.

Unfortunately that method is only relevent to Intervideo.

Their app effectively reads those profile files then does "something" to set the bitrate. I dont know what that something is...
