Does anyone know of any free recording apps that will work for the PVR500?

I need to record some old VHS home movies. Doing it through GBPVR would be a kind of hassle.

Go with the Hauppauge WinTV software. It was designed for this sort of thing.

Wow, got it to work. Last time I tried to get WinTV2000 to work with my 500mce it kept locking up my machine and I somehow screwed up the drivers so GBPVR wouldn't even work. Finally I just gave up. It was probably drivers from my old tuner.

All is good this time, works like a charm, thanks. Smile

I get errors when trying to use WinTV with my 500. Hauppauge says it's not fully supported. I guess that means it doesn't fully work.:mad:
