Hauppage pvr2 usb2 config

I have the Hauppage pvr2 usb2 and try to get it to work. But cannot find anything related in the forum .

What have you tried? What exactly didnt work?

capture source>edit recording source>direct recording configuration:
* I choose Hauppauge wintv pvrs usb2
* Source : internal tuner
* tuning : antenna( I can only pickup 10 channels) I get none if I choose cable
I have about over 60 channels over cable.

If you run the tuning assistant do you see you channels?

What country are you in?

I lived in US North Carolina .
I ran tunner assistance they pick up only a few channels

How many channels do you get with the Hauppauge WinTV2000 software?

[COLOR="indigo"]I too am having trouble with a Hauppauge PVR2 USB2 tuner.

My setup worked great in my old computer. Built a new computer and now I can't get GB-PVR to recognize my tuner.

Tuner appears to work fine in the Hauppauge default programs (WinTV2000). But the GB-PVR config reports "no known cards detected in this machine." When I select the tuner from the drop down box and hit OK I get "the drivers for the device you have configured do not seem to be installed."

Any ideas what could be up? I can see the tuner in my hardware device manager, and it works fine with the Hauppauge programs. I'm lost.

Update:
I noticed that the device in Windows shows up as WinTV PVR2 USB2, so I went into the direct.ini file and in the WinTV PVR USB2 section I changed all the entries for the crossbar and whatnot to have a 2 after the PVR, so they read WinTV PVR2 USB2.

Works like a charm now!

Assuming you're using the latest version of GB-PVR there is already a section in direct.ini exactly like this.
