pvr150 control question

I recently bought a hauppauge tv-pvr150 with the remote. Ive setup everything to work with gbpvr, except the remote control. Im running a coax cable straight to the card. Can anyone give some clues on how to setup the control? please bear with me as I am a novice at this.

you'll need three things
- remote control well.. for obvious reasons  - infrared receiver/ir blaster the infrared receiver looks like this (pic) and it is plugged in at the lowest connector (pic.. its the black one). - ir remote control application install the application from the cd (or better download it from here to get the latest version). then open gb-pvr config, switch to the 'DVD & Remote'-tab and click 'fix hauppauge remote settings (45 button remote), restart the remote controll app et voila
