Sub,

Great job on the quick release!

Before I start my quick report, please understand that I worked 3rd shift last night and am half asleep right now.  I apologize in advance if none of this makes any sense [Image: smile.gif]

One new problem (I think its new):

The problem is when setting the record directory.  I think we need to add a trailing slash.  For example...

If my recording directory is F:\video and I am recording Sportscenter I can watch the recording start as F:\videoSportscenter_1234.mpg (Notice the missing slash... should be F:\video\Sportscenter_1234.mpg)

Once I cancel the recording it also seems to delete itself (I am sure it is related to the directory issue)

If I set my recording directory to F:\ it records fine and does not delete itself.  Thats why I think the self-deleting issue is related with the directory issue.

Other than that I'd say that your EPG/Scheduler is PERFECT.  I noticed that you fixed the issues with the special characters in the title, awesome.

Mame plugin works flawless.

Music Library is flawless.

Because of my limited video card I am unable to test your video library (sorry).

I have not tested the remote control features yet, but I have worked with other programs with the remote before.  I'll play around with this later today and will help anybody that needs help setting thier remotes up.

I have a couple more suggestions, I'll post those in the Wishlist forum.

If you can think of any specific testing you need me to do, let me know.

Great job!

Just now had a chance to test the "misc" part of the config program.

When adding a program GB-PVR looks for gbpvr.mdb in the same directory the exe file you are trying to add is in. For example:

If I am adding c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

I get an error saying that GBPVR "could not find the file 'C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\gbpvr.mdb'

And I am unable to add the exe file.

Corey, because no one else has downloaded it yet, I've sneakily [Image: blues.gif] updated the v0.0.2 setup (Setup002.exe) to correct your recordings path problem and your trailing '\'. You might want to pick up the setup again and reinstall - sorry.

Ok, downloaded the update:

I had a chance to play with the "misc" part of the config program a little more.

The only problem I have now is that it creates a blank button for the main menu. Other than that it launches the programs correctly.

The recording directory issue works correctly for me now.

From what I have been able to test (single source, 1 capture card), the EPG works perfectly.

Great job [Image: biggrin.gif]

Yes, I'm aware of the blank buttons. I'm still thinking about how to deal with them.

The problem is that at the moment to support skins, buttons are just pictures. It lets you have buttons that look like whatever you want. This is good, until it comes to things like this - where the program has no idea what the button looks like or what color it is etc. There is a button generator in the .\skin\blue\custom directory that will generate a button for you...but its all a bit manual.

Sub,

Tried out the button maker.

To get it to work I had to create the directory C:\temp\skin\blue\custom

I then create the button using the same name as the title of the external program that I added in the 'misc' section. I then copied the generated buttons to C:\Program Files\devnz\GBPVR\skin\Blue\custom

The button is still blank?

I opened up the database with access to see if there was anything I could change in there to make it display my generated button instead of the blank button (custombtn.png), also looked in the xml. No such luck.

How do I let GB-PVR know what button I want to use for the external programs?

Opps, you're right.  Next release will also find the custom buttons. [Image: laugh.gif]
