ExternalRecorder doesn't appear in config list

Hi folks,

I've installed (from scratch) GB-PVR v0.97.9 and ExternalRecorder plug-in v1.0. I've followed the install instructions for ExternalRecorder, but when I try to add a new capture source it doesn't appear in my recording sources list. I only have the options:

G07... Recording Plugin
BDA Recording Plugin
Direct Recording Plugin

I had the previous GB-PVR version installed with v0.8 ExternalRecorder and that worked fine.

Any ideas?

Could you please try and describe a little more detailed what you have done, and what exactly didn't work? You can also post your config.exe.log and I'll have a look.

I had the same issue

Download the patch as mentioned. Unzip/Unrar the patch and then rename the file into .zip again and unrar again and you will end up with a ~420K dll file that you have to replace the one in the GBPvr Directory and it will all work fine.

I posted the same issue yesterday, as did many others in this forum.
I'm thankful for Subs work, but wish that this patch was explained as to how to extract it .
