I tried different combinations fo searches on this but could not come up with an answer.

How does GB-PVR handle back-to-back recordings? I have the config set to start recording 1 minute before and 1 minute after a show, but when they are back-to-back I get confused.

Thanks in advance!

If I remember rightly, if you only have one capture source, GB-PVR will stop recording the first show as soon as it is time for the pre-padding of the second one to start.

When I only had one card, I used to make sure there was no pre-padding on the second show so as to hopefully prevent losing the end of the first show.

Cheers,
Brian

It sound like I would be better off setting my pre and post padding to 0 minuts then. I set up to record a seasons worth of a show, and they tend to run them back-to-back. I suppose I could try it and see what happens.

Thanks for the info.

From my experience it just ignores the post/pre padding at the crossover. So I just keep the 1 min pre/post and it works great.

This is my impression, too.
