why can't i watch tv on my monitor

I have a hauppauge 350 and just d/l gbpvr so I'm completely new to it.

My problem is that I have looked through every menu and the config.xml file, but I can't seem to find a setting for specifying where tv playback goes to.

When I select "Live TV", I get a black screen that says "press HOME to return...".

How can I watch TV on my PC monitor? What setting do I need to change?

If you go into the config app and set your 'Hardware decoder' setting to the 'None - use software decoding' option, then the video will be sent to you monitor.

If you have this setting set to 'Hauppauge PVR350', then the video must go to the tv out connector on your PVR350 card.
