Mute

I wish that when I pushed "mute" on my remote that it would mute GBPVR, not the computer system running underneath it. Currently it mutes the whole computer, which I don't think is right. Software other than GBPVR has a right to be heard too, regardless of whether one program is muted or not.

The problem here is that most programs all use the same windows mixer 'wave input' - so it would be quite hard to seperate GBPVR from anything else without hard coding some sort of pre-amp into it.
The supplied software with TV cards often uses a physical line out -> line in wire to your soundcard, so you can control their volume seperately to the wave input via the mixer 'line in'. Of course this would then pose a much bigger challenge wiring up a multi tuner (PVR) set-up....

aah, so gbpvr doesn't process the sound, it merely directs some card in the system to channel its sound out via the selected device.

Oh well, I'll just have to wait until windows vista.
