Hello, Thanks for writing this plugin

What are you using to serve your sports scores?

I would like to have this set up for the coming EPL football season - would I have to find you an RSS feed for this to work?

Will this plugin only work under the blue skin?
When I try to use running BlueMCE2, I get the object not set error and there is an error showing in the logs at GBPVRUIelements.

at GbpvrUiElements.Label.Render(Graphics g)
at GbpvrUiElements.GbpvrUiElement.RenderIfVisible(Graphics g)
at SportsScores.SportsScoresPluginTask.render(Boolean& requiresMoreRendering)

Thanks

Just for fun, copy the SportsScores skin directory over the BlueMCE folder and make sure it is up to date -- perhaps there is an old, obsolete skin file in there (or maybe none at all).

As for EPL, it need not be an RSS feed, an HTML feed will do as long as the markup has distinguishing features (ie, elements and attributes that show when game info begins and ends.) For most of the information now, I use cbs.sportsline.com, but I use tsn.ca for the CFL scores. If you can find a source that has real-time updating, that would be ideal.

PS -- what's EPL?

I'll try that and see how it goes.

EPL is the English Premier League. I know the BBC sports section have live scores for all of the games - with one page for all games, and individual pages featuring commentary regarding incidents & goals while the game is in progress.

It appears here:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football...efault.stm
and auto-updates every 2 minutes when a game is on. It carries all of the English league games.

There is also http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football...efault.stm
which is results from the Scottish leagye, and the English lower leagues. (and currently friendly games) - There is also an international version of the results page.

Actually, the BBC is probably a good place to get quite a few sports results - if the HTML on those pages is able to be used - as it carries sports results / scores from quite a few different sports (if other were interested)
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/results_...efault.stm

By the way - I took a look at the results page as above - and it uses "<!--Fixture ID: XXXXXXX-->" to signify each game in the results table.
Unsure about the live scores - until they start playing games in a couple of weeks.

Thanks

Interesting. I'll make a go at it, but it might take me a little while. I am going on vacation tomorrow and will return in 2 weeks.

Will do -- I wonder if this site would work well:

I usually only use ESPN for Champions league - as they carry a really nice gamecast thing with live stats etc.

Whichever way you would like to do it is fine by me - using ESPN means you would get a greater range of leagues. (as well as Champions league / FA cup)

Thanks
