Windows not clickable

I have an unusual problem involving windows losing foxus when I click on them.

AT random times, my pc wont allow me to click on windows - when I do the app name bar goes light blue again, indicating it has lost focus.

The way to reoslve this is to hit ctrl-alt-delete bring up the ask manager - click on the TM, and it goes light blue, click again and it gets focus and then all other windows are "clickable" again. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

I think it could a driver issue with one of my USB devices, but no way to tell really.

Yeah, I suspected something like that - but it actuallly stops me taking focus back at all with mouse / kb - the only thing I can do is the taskmanager as above.
Also, after I have "fixed" it as above, the left mouse button acts like a right click the first few times.

Oh well - time to remove drivers / tray utils , then wait to see if I get a lockup.

Mine has been doing the same thing, its even worse over VNC! ALT-tab works most of the time.

Post back when you find it, I'm curious to see what your solution is.

What sort of USB devices do you have attached to your PC?

I had thought it was my motherboard as I had a few USB things attached, and it was old - just got new cpu/ mb & it still does it.

I use the BTC wireless keyboard with the joystick thing attached, and am wondering if that is the cause.
Might remove it for a few days and see how I get on.

Alt-Tab switches apps for me as usual, but when I click on a prog, then it goes inactive again.
