Another IR Blaster Issue

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I have recently come back to GB-PVR as MCE would no longer record material from my Motorola 6200 as my cable company has implemented Macrovision on the analog outputs rendering recording impossible.

My MCE remote and blaster send the correct channel codes learned in GB-PVR yet sometimes, maybe 20% of the time, the Motorola 6200 fails to change channels correctly.

I am thinking that perhaps the blasts are too quick/slow. Do I have to have the remote working properly in the Hauppauge app to be able to adjust the speed of the blasting as I can not see my model number box as supported.

It might be worth look at using HIP with GB-PVR, which will give you a lot of control over the IR Blaster behaviour. There is lots of threads about it on the forum. Info about it is also available at the GB-PVR wiki (http://www.gbpvr.com/pmwiki).

Thanks Sub. Quite a while back when I used GB-PVR I was using HIP. I also had similar issues as I could not get the blasts consistent.

I will persist and see what results I can get.
