Maybe any settings you can change in the Powerline-config.
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.

Any old plugins you are running, dating from 96.12.

The powerline stuff lets me prioritise packets whether they are UDP,TCP etc. I have tried both, to no effect. I currently have it set on no prioritisation. When set to prioritise TCP, the bootloader sometimes took a while to put down the dongle.
The only real other options are encryption settings, which are always on, no way to switch off.

I uninstalled all the plugins I had running.

After much playing around, I realised that the MVP was actually switching its own network port off when it crashed. Not good.

On a whim I decided to try mdnttoker's solution of putting a netgear 5-port switch between the Netgear HDX101 powerline adapter and the MVP. This completely resolves this issue somehow. The HDX's work absolutely fine now.

Good to hear this solution is working for you.

I've tried talking to Netgear support about this problem. I was able to talk enough Hindu to get to get assigned to a 2nd Level Tech., who clearly doesn't really care about the issue.

Ah well...not like dlink or linksys are any better on that subject...
