I'm wondering if anyone else with a PVR-350 is experiencing this.

I have a stripe the goes across the screen and rises vertically.. sort of like a vertical hold problem, but the picture is fine, the stripe is just like.. lighter.. or more washed out that the picture behind it.

I also have a very distinctive hum on my audio. I've verified that audio played from the computer through the same output does not have the hum, only audio recorded from the input of the pvr-350.

hope this all makes sense [Image: smile.gif]

thanks

Do you also get the same pattern when you watch TV or an existing file through WinTV2000?

Sounds like some form of signal interference.

I've never used wintv software -- but I've experienced the same pattern through gbpvr, sagetv, mythtv, and beyondtv.

so I *think* it's the board.. but I'm not sure... it's almost like there's a bunch of noise on the card.

I used to get somthing similar,
but I looked in my spaghetti junction box ,where all my cables were and found the s-video out from my pvr 350 was entangled with my PC power lead. Unscrambling the 2 leads and running them as far away from each other as possible helped.
The second thing I did was move a 4 point extension plug as far away as possible from the PC.
Finally a 10pound investment in some shielded cables. The effect of all three was to totally get rid of the problem.

Cheers

I think you're right. My experience in audio production tells me that this is interference from electricity -- I will try some high quality cables and report back!

thanks for the responses!

check your card.
1. Is it broken (some cracks or something).
2. Make sure it is all the way down in the pci slot.

check your cables
1. Is there space betwin them.
2. Try a diffrent audio/video cable (could be damaged).

I'm having the same issue, I'm using Hauppauge PVR150mce. In the middle of the live TV screen there is a vertical green stripe. I'm connecting to my tuner card with coax cable. It wouldn't be any type of software problem, would it? I'm going to check to see if my recording have the same problem.

I'm fairly new to pvr'ing, and appreciate any help.
