I wish I could say the same. I thought installing the latest version of Sassari would help but no joy. I really don't know what the hell happened. Once I enable Sassari as my skin of choice, GBPVR gets hosed. I'm going to have to uninstall VA (again) in order to fix this problem.

Sheesh... I thought everything would be ok with this latest release of Sassari. I really did. Here are some additional logs in case Jeff or Dottore want to have a peek. Also, the screenshot I posted above is still the same.

EDIT: I tried cameluk's work around and managed to get VA/Sassari to stop crashing. Unfortunately, re-installing Sassari killed the install. I compared the Archive folder for both Blue and Sassari. Other than the obvious file size differences, there are no relevant files missing between the two. The only substantial difference I could see is the Sassari folder had a Thumbs.db file in it. Last I checked, that didn't mean much.

It is a problem with the skin. The list view skin.xml has an error in it that causes GBPVR to not be able to parse it.

Code:
        <CompositeImage name="ViewedFilesFilterOn" size="1280,720">
            <DrawImage filename=task.png" loc="1130,600" size="50,50" />
        </CompositeImage>

There should be a quote (") in front of the task.png. If you add the quote it works fine.

Oh man! That's the ticket! I can't believe something so minor caused such a huge issue. Thanks a ton Jeff!

I am sorry, but I am having the exact same problem as daphatty was. I have tried looking for a file called VA 3.0 to uninstall, with no luck. I have also looked for the list view skin.xml file that jeff mentioned and can't find that either.

Any help is greatly appreciated, everyone seems great on this project. Much more help than ATI Customer Service. Smile

If you post your gbpvr.exe.log file I can take a look and tell you what skin file needs to be edited. If you want to zip up the archive directory under your active skin and post that too that would be helpful.

The DLL, if you want to delete it is called Video Archiver.dll

Will I need to replace it with something? Thanks again.

If you want to remove the plug-in deleting the dll will do it. If you want to keep the plug-in and fix the skin, posting the skin files and the error log will enable me (or someone) to fix it for you.

I deleted the .dll file and everything seems to be working now.

On another note, when I move the mouse and the OSD comes up, the picture breaks up. Not totally, just like some of the pixles are removed. Is that normal?

I would send a log, but I not sure how to create one.
