File names and show titles or descriptions

I was hope that there was a way to put the title of the show for the name of the title instead of using the date and time. For example:

093004_18001900.mpg
and have
093004_18001830_simpsons_halloween_special.mpg

or something like that

Is this possible?

If you someone is trying to organize shows and not get duplicates it would be a whole lot easier if the show title or episode number or something was there.

I'm surprised you just get dates!? All my file names include the programme name, and show up like the following:

'Last Call With Carson Daly_20041002_04360535.mpg'

Even more bizarre is that my show file names appear as:

'LastCallWithCarsonDaly_20041002_04360535.mpg'

Why would it remove the spaces?
