I use ffdshow preset autoload to load different audio settings depending on the media type.
But the presets are only loaded when you first start watching TV - changing channel to one with different audio does not load in the new profile.
As an example, I use a preset to double the volume of HD AC3 channels, but if I then change to an SD channel with mpeg2 audio the same profile is used, giving very loud results! If I stop TV and then select the SD channel, the correct profile is loaded.
I have been told that this is correct behaviour for ffdhsow, as it only loads a profile when a new graph is created, and changing channels does not do this. So is there a setting somewhere to force a direct show reset on channel change:confused:

Sorry, no - there is no setting that would do that. Its worth noting it'd also add about 5-6 seconds per channel change, which I'm pretty sure you wouldnt want.

Thank's Sub - you're right I would not like the extra time per channel change! I'm sort of used to it now anyway, and usually remember to stop TV before selecting an SD channel...

setup a hotkey in ffdshow to activate that profile...it's manual selection but at least you could change it on the fly..
