EPG update not completing

Not sure how long this has been happening, but just noticed programme listings for More4, UKTV History and Film4 are blank. When I force an EPG update from the tray it eventually gives an exception but not very helpful and nothing in the event logs. Which of the GBPVR logs should I be looking in for this? I'm using v98.8 and Birtles XMLTV Radio Times. Looking at the data file, the 3 channels missing are the last 3 in the list and there are listings for them, but I can't see any corrupt looking entries around that point. One thing I haven't tried yet is deleting that file and reloading, so I'll try that, but any other suggestions?

Not at GBPVR right now, but I think it is the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log

The RT made some changes affecting those of us using a grabber to the RT site. Cured by installing a new version of the grabber.

Thanks for the tip. That seeems to have done the trick after I'd emptied the EPG

I've had this same problem and have got round it for now by removing the channels that error - could someone point me at the new version of the grabber? I've looked on the XMLTV SourceForge site and apart from an unresolved bug report there are no patches or workarounds listed, unless my eyesight is getting worse, which is always possible.

http://www.birtles.org.uk. The 'update' actually creates a new install, but being lazy, I copied my channel list from the old one. The first time I tried it, it corrected 2 of the channels but left Film4 out so I emptied the guide from within edit sources and reloaded. You'll need to redo your shortcut and redirect GBPVR to the new location

Ah - the GUI version - I usually use the command line xmltv. I'd actually already downloaded this and tried it, but it still bombed on ITV4, so I left things 'as-is' with the bad channels removed. Still, it looks like it ony has one bad channel from my list whereas the command-line version had 2 or 3, so I'll make the switch. Thanks for the reply.

Mine didn't work fully until I'd emptied the EPG. You can still run a command line....xmltvconsole.exe
