Has anyone experienced this issue.

On occassion when I flip on the TV and grab the remote, I push a button (say up or down) - I get nothing, so I press a couple more buttons maybe guide, down, etc - still nothing. Just as I'm about to throw in the big old reboot - all of a sudden all the actions are performed (in the sequence I pressed) and I'm all set.

I thought my PC might be going to sleep, but it's not the same reaction. I checked all my PC settings and I don't have it powering down or anything. It's fustrating. Thanks

When this happens does the keyboard behave the same problem, or is is just the remote?

Yes, thats what I suspect his problem is. Its a fairly well known bug with the Hauppauge remotes. I'm not sure why it occurs, or if there is a fix.

Yes, I’m seeing the same thing with my v98.8b (new dongle) 1800 AMD system. Not in the guide (using TV Listings if that matters), but in the video library, and when pausing / resuming during playback.
My other computer (Intel 1.06 gig) running 96.12 (older dongle) is always smooth using the same MPV and remote.
Both systems have 512 megs of ram, 2gig virtual.
I also notice some very massive background hard drive activity at times using 98.8, it’s like when you first start gbprv.exe and the guide preloads.
I’ll enable debug logging (disable the EWA) and check it out when I get a chance, but it’s very intermittent.

He is not talking about an MVP. This is a separate issue. The MVP can lag at times for a few reasons.

I'm fairly certain his problem will be this Hauppauge remote problem discussed above.
