Hi

I have just installed the new version of GBPVR on my computer (XP Prof) using Hauppauge Nova USB2 without any custom skin or plugins. When I set recording , it seem to stop after a bit but the recording status indicates that it is still recording. This has happens most of the time. When I looked at the log, it doesn't seem to have any error - just stops (see below)

Hi Sub,

I have new set of log files if you have an opportunity to look at them. One is from recording session that stopped and another one from Live TV session that hung as well. I also attached screenshots from the Event log and finally I zipped up all logs from the program folder.

Thank in advance,

Thor

there is a reference to the .net framework in the error message - is there any why to find out if the error is caused by GBPVR or .Net framework. I didn't get any error when installing the .net ?

Can you tell me what time you expected a recording to start and stop, so I know where abouts to look in your logs.

The 'checking signal stats' messages shown above are normal during a recording.

It was set to start at 1:00 (00:59 with padding) for an hour. The last date/time stamp on the file created (Keane Live in Chicago_20061010_01000205.dvr-ms) was 01:03.

Your problem isnt that it is stuck in recording mode though, but rather that it died while recording - so the tray app just continues report the status as it was when it got its last update.

I'm not really sure why its dying. Maybe related to post #2 of the sticky 'v0.98.8 survival guide' thread?
