The would be a great feature as it means then you could stream virtually any media to the MVP, plus it requires less resource then hauppages offering.

GB_PVR is great piece of software please keep it going

Does VideoLan stream everything as MPEG1/MPEG2? This is the only type of video the MVP can play (without god awful transcoding).

Sub

you can configure VideoLan to do the transcoding of audio/video and stream in various formats, including the MPEG I/II

Hmm ,

Does that mean videoLan could transcode to output through the PVR-350 as well.

Im not an expert, but it would be quite an impressive piece of coding to transcode DivX for example at 24 frames per second.
Unless you have a 5 - 10 minute pause at the start as it buffers transcoded frames before outputing.

If it could work, that would be top.

Cheers

Videolan is pretty cool. I don't know how the PVR350 behaves but I guess you would need a client to recognise the PVR350. So if Sub could take a stream from a port then there is potential.

I'm not sure if this could be developed as a plugin or if it would need to be in the core of GBPVR,

Colin.
