Close captions

Hello guys,

For some reason, I don't get close captions. I use Hauppauge 150MCE. Please tell me what's wrong. Thanks.

I do support the teletext subtitles or DVB subtitles, which are used in most parts of the world, but there is no support for the Closed Caption system used in USA/Canada.

That said, you can get it to work with PVR250 and PVR350, since these provide this feature for free by automatically embedding the CC info in recordings they make. The PVR150 does not do this.

It works with other software. Why not with GBPVR?

There is actually a lot of work that would be required to get the PVR150 to do CC with GB-PVR. I'm not in a country that uses CC, so I havnt bothered to try - too much hassle (no easy way to develop and test this).
