Just did an update to latest gbpvr

when i try to play a recording or video i get an error-message similar to:
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=21918

recording plays under the error-message, but when you click it away, gbpvr stops.

I first got it also when exiting gbpvr, but that solved smoothly after 150-driver-update.

After that i even did a gbpvr 'repair', but that didn't help.

Unfortunately unable to 'clip' the errormessage from the screen.

any ideas??

Hi,
Yesterday night it was 1am and i gave up.
Today I:
- restored windows XP to before upgrade
- un-installed old gbpvr
- updated windows-xp with whatever was available
- updated Hauppauge driver

and then, finally 'frshly' installed GBPVR09813

but.....
when playing a recording or video from 'video library'.
I get the same error.
=> 'windows error-popup with send/don't send'
gbpvr DOES play underneath the popup
but when you close th popup, gbpvr stops

log-files attached.

DID: check the video-decoder, downloaded a fresh one from hauppauge, but still problem remained.

help.....help.... i'm out of options....

Sorry, I dont really know. Nothing springs to mind.

If you have any DLLs in the plugins directory, it might be worth removing them to see if it helps.

THANKS THANKS.

note: i though i had tried about all i could find, and then there is again a little thing...

Again 1 day later:
- bought a new soundcard
(you do not need much for ordinairy pvr: amazing what they can make for $15)

- and: ALL WORKS!!!

thank you.

Note:
I think i see where the error popt in:

ALthough i re-installed, i did not 1st completely deleted the original directory. I was hoping to save at least some config-info.

But: i was updating from relatively old version: v09413.
And: some of my plugins were now appearantly obsolete (my videos, my pictures, shutdown). BUT: these dll's were still there.

SO.......
the lesson is that upgrading is not as straightforward as it seems:
-> especially 'what to keep' and 'what to delete' is not.

I'm afraid to ask,
but thats probably something to be added to the 'installation notes'

(don't bother for me, unless i get errors i will only get a new update in a year or so, although i'm still planning to try some things with comskip)

thanks,
Stefan
