Could of Questions about the buffer file

When in Timeshift Mode how big will the buffer file grow to ?

If you run out of HD space will the file stop growing or will it start from teh begining again ?

When in timeshift mode what happens whena schedulaed recoding comes allong.

Will it return to timeshift mode after recording ?


I'm asking this as I have XBMC and I share the Live TV folder and am able to watch the TV stream. It's just an MPEG file. It would be nice to have the system consistantly doing this.

You can't channal surf in a hurry but so what.

When in Timeshift Mode how big will the buffer file grow to ?

As big as it needs to for the current show (or for an hour if no listings are present). It close the file and starts a new one at the start of the next show, deleting the old one.

When in timeshift mode what happens whena schedulaed recoding comes allong.

If no few tuners are available for moving the recording, then it'll drop you back to the menu.

Will it return to timeshift mode after recording ?

No, not currently.
